The timeshare company – whipping boy as the perfect partner 

Often vilified by consumer protection organisations, often misjudged and yet in reality, held in high regard: Well-realised timeshare concepts bring a wide range of advantages to the places they are located thanks to the investments and business that they create. 

One example is the Hapimag resort in Winterberg, where Peter Bütikofer & Company highlighted the advantages of a timeshare investment for sustainable location and tourism development using a press conference in the presence of political and tourism representatives from the region. 

The meeting was held against the backdrop of sustained discrediting of an important tourist industry in Germany over the last few years. In stark contrast to places such as Great Britain or the USA, timesharing in Germany tends to be criminalised in the one-sided, deadlocked opinion of consumer protection organisation under charges of 'dishonest' distribution methods. However, as the journalists present were made to see, there is barely any other branch of tourism that offers so many economic and ecological advantages to both participants and holiday regions alike.
